Well Check Ups
Annual exams are important for prevention of illness and injury. All patients three years old and above are recommended to have yearly examinations. Under three years old, children should be examined more frequently, according to the infant schedule. Growth and development are monitored, safety and prevention are discussed, and anticipatory guidance is given during these visits. Any appropriate vaccines are also given during this time.
During these visits, a more focused exam is performed which is geared towards individual complaints. Time is almost always available on the same day for sick visits. We just request that you please call the office as early as possible during the day to get an appointment.
Medications are not recommended loosely. Risks and benefits always need to be weighed. You will be told of your options, and you are encouraged to ask questions regarding your child's treatment.
Our office recommends all of the routine childhood immunizations in the schedule developed by the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization and the Advisory Commity on Immunization Practices. Vaccines have been the most important advancement in the prevention of childhood diseases and deaths. We will gladly discuss all vaccines with you at your visits and answer any questions that you may have.

Free Prenatal Visits
We have appointments available for expectant parents to speak with the pediatrician. During this time, you can see the office, learn what to expect during the nursery admission and learn what office visits entail.
These days, most insurances don't require referrals. However, if your insurance does requires one, or if you believe your child needs a specialist, we will gladly submit a referral, if necessary, after an examination and discussion of the issue at hand.
